FAQs

What happens in a coaching session?
You come to the call with an agenda of what you'd like to discuss and what you'd like from me during the call. We begin the coaching based on your agenda. Toward the end of the call, we build accountability in by deciding, together, what actions you will take before the next call, based on the topic of the call and what we were working on.

What happens in between coaching sessions?
In between coaching sessions, you work at completing actions to which you committed. If you have questions, triumphs or disappointments, you can be in touch with me by email (anytime).

What results can I expect with coaching?
That depends on what you are prepared to invest in yourself and your own progress ~ there are no guarantees you will achieve any specific results. You will achieve results in direct proportion to the time and energy you invest in achieving your goals. One thing I can guarantee you is that I will not let you get away with playing small or hiding from your full potential! (Check out the About Coaching page for more information.)

How do I know if I'm ready for coaching?
You are ready if you value yourself and are willing to focus and make a commitment to taking the necessary steps to reach a goal.

How long will we work together?
That's up to you; what you want to accomplish and how quickly. I recommend a 6 month commitment to fully experience the benefits of coaching and to firmly establish some sustainable results for yourself. Many clients stay in coaching relationships a year or more to continue building on their achievements and deepen their learning.

Is the focus of the coaching on personal or professional goals?
Both. There's no question that who you are and what you deal with in your personal life affects your professional life and vice-versa. You would be coached on whatever comes up in any given session.

What about people who are already doing really well in their lives? Why would they need a coach?
Not everyone needs a coach, but nearly everyone could benefit from having one. Anthony Robbins, Lee Iacocca, Dale Carnegie, Rick Hansen, and Oprah Winfrey all had a personal coach to mentor and guide them, and to help them realize their maximum potential.

How will I know coaching is a worthwhile investment for me?
The truth is you won't really know until you try coaching yourself. I suggest a 6 month commitment to get the full impact. If you are committed to getting the most out of it, you will find that coaching is incredibly worthwhile.

How much does it cost?
I offer a range of fees based on the length of sessions and number of sessions per month. Try a complimentary session then we can discuss a plan that would work best for you.

What's the difference between coaching and therapy?

Coaching:

  • Helps client find their answers, not to give them guidance/advice
  • Helps client articulate their dreams, desires, and aspirations
  • Helps client clarify mission, purpose, goals, and helps them achieve that outcome
  • Not about why, but where do you want to go
  • Present/future oriented
  • Action-oriented
  • Acknowledges feelings, but it's not detective work
  • Holds client accountable to commitment and goals from week to week

Therapy:

  • Designed to help someone heal mental difficulty
  • Explores why people feel the way they do
  • Geared toward exploration of past/present
  • Emotions are symptoms
  • Explores feelings rather than vision, value or purpose
