About Kimberlee

Creative Marketing, Design
Big Moose River, Adirondacks NYS
Kimberlee has been a word and layout junkie for years. In the '80s she created books on then popular word processors. She “fell into” marketing communications in the '90s and worked in high tech sales and marketing for over 14 years.

After leaving "corporate" and becoming a Certified Professional Coach, Kimberlee designed, wrote and published electronic newsletters and articles for her own business as well as for colleagues. She has also taught "e-zine building" classes to coaches, consultants and other independent professionals.

To expand her skills, in January 2008, Kimberlee started taking design classes at Santa Rosa Junior College ("the JC"). By December 2008, she had designed and published her first book, Adirondack Wildnerness Canoe Adventures. She is currently working on a book of her father’s experience as a World War II pilot.

In December 2009, Kimberlee will receive a certificate in Adobe InDesign from "the JC." She is also learning (and using) Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Rumor has it her passion for this work keeps her up late into the night, either working on a project, studying tutorials or doing homework. When in a mischievous mood, she practices her Photoshop skills by picking friend's pictures off Facebook and changing their hair color.

On the Personal Side
Kimberlee is
deeply connected with animals and nature, especially the Adirondack Park Preserve in Central New York where she's hiked and paddled many trails. In the Pacific Northwest, Kimberlee has hiked numerous forest trails in and around Portland, Oregon. She especially loves (and misses) Forest Park and the Central Cascades.

Kimberlee grew up in the small college town of Clinton, in Central New York. Today, she hangs her hat in Santa Rosa, California with her companion animal, Karli Sue. The highlight of her week, aside from working on a client's project, is attending “Creative Play Group,” a group she formed with other designers to network, share tips and practice design skills. She lives a clutter-free lifestyle and is committed to leaving a light footprint on the earth.

Kimberlee holds a B.S. in Business Management & Communications from Concordia University in Portland and is a graduate of The Coaches Institute (CTI), where she was certified as a Professional Co-Active Coach and received advanced training in Organization & Relationship Systems Coaching.
